Laser treatments

MOLES, WARTS AND CYSTS

The CO2 laser can be used to remove moles, warts, and cysts quickly, minimizing the risk of scarring.

Nevi, also called moles, are benign clusters of cells present in the skin (melanocytes) that may be unsightly, or at times, swollen and sore.

They can be comfortably and effectively removed, after dermatological evaluation, with the CO2 laser.

We also use the CO2 laser in our day to day consultation to remove fat cysts (known as epidermal cysts) and keratosis or seborrheic warts, which are benign lesions that often occur with age and have an associated hereditary factor.

What does the treatment involve?

First, it is necessary to administer a local anaesthetic in the dermatological lesion, which is then treated with a CO2 laser. The result of the operation will be a wound on the skin that will take about 10 days to heal completely. During this period it is advisable to avoid exposure of the area to the sun and water.

I would like to know more about this treatment.

If you have a wart, cyst, or mole and you would like to know whether you can remove it forever, make an appointment at one of the clinics I work for.
